IPSTAR IN ACTION IN NEPAL EARTHQUAKE 2015

IPSTAR, once again had contributed its expertise in broadband satellite communications thus, providing telecommunication means and connectivity to help rebuild and save lives in Nepal - 2015 Earthquake.

As in the past calamities around the world - earthquake in China, Tsunami in Japan, Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in the Philippines, earthquake in Bohol, etc., - IPSTAR took its action in playing a great and important role in providing telecommunications means and connectivity between the devastated areas and the team of responders' HQ so that actual pictures and videos of the victims and the affected areas could be shared around the world.

Our prayer goes to all the victims and their families and to those who responded wholeheartedly to extend their assistance and support to all the affected individuals and families.

May God bless everyone.

Rainy Season Comes Again in thePhilippines

Here we are again facing for another typhoon season. Hope everyone, especially our Philippine government is ready for whatever calamities we are expecting this year.

Let's just pray that nothing like Yolanda will happen again this year. For our telecommunication providers, let's just hope that they are also preparing to avoid the same problem they had encountered right after Yolanda hits the Philippines.

One suggestion is for them to prepare communication facilities which can be installed quickly like the ones that DSWD had installed a day after typhoon Yolanda devastated Tacloban.

IPSTAR In Action in Tacloban After Typhoon Yolanda Hit the Area

DSWD used IPSTAR broadband satellite technology to provide connectivity services to the affected people in Tacloban a day after typhoon Yolanda devastated the area. The two photos above paint a million words to describe how difficult the situation was. IPSTAR technology provided voice VoIP,  and Internet connectivity to the suvivors to inform their families, relatives, love ones and friends of their current situation. The existing telcos were paralyzed due to extremely huge damage brought by the typhoon Yolanda and for several days, it could do nothing except to start clearing up the areas where its telecommunication infrastructures were totaly demolished.

Typhoon in the Philippines 2012: In Every Adversity, There's Always Opportunity

I haven't seen any action yet from the IPStar Philippines during any of the two worst floods that had devastated almost at the same locations. Previously in December 2011, which happened in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro, and just few days ago, also in December, 2012 in Davao Region: Davao Oriental province and Compostela Valley province.

All these areas are located in the Southern part of the Philippines, called Mindanao as you can see in the map below.

Unlike in Japan, when the country was hit by a great disaster (tsunami) in 2011 that was triggered by a very powerful and high magnitude earthquake, IPStar Japan was leading the way to help the country established communications in those devastated areas enabling rescue voluteers in their communications. With that action and good gesture of help, IPStar had gained lots of publicity. Now IPStar Japan is reaping the fruit of its endeavor.

In order for IPStar Philippines to succeed in its business in the country, it has to take a similar initiative to help the affected areas in terms of communications using its proven technology. By doing so, it will not only gain publicity, but also loyalty from the Filipinos.

Thus, like in Japan IPStar technology and its service will be patronized by the people.

Thank you very much for dropping by and for leaving your comments below.

God bless,
