Typhoon in the Philippines 2012: In Every Adversity, There's Always Opportunity

I haven't seen any action yet from the IPStar Philippines during any of the two worst floods that had devastated almost at the same locations. Previously in December 2011, which happened in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro, and just few days ago, also in December, 2012 in Davao Region: Davao Oriental province and Compostela Valley province.

All these areas are located in the Southern part of the Philippines, called Mindanao as you can see in the map below.

Unlike in Japan, when the country was hit by a great disaster (tsunami) in 2011 that was triggered by a very powerful and high magnitude earthquake, IPStar Japan was leading the way to help the country established communications in those devastated areas enabling rescue voluteers in their communications. With that action and good gesture of help, IPStar had gained lots of publicity. Now IPStar Japan is reaping the fruit of its endeavor.

In order for IPStar Philippines to succeed in its business in the country, it has to take a similar initiative to help the affected areas in terms of communications using its proven technology. By doing so, it will not only gain publicity, but also loyalty from the Filipinos.

Thus, like in Japan IPStar technology and its service will be patronized by the people.

Thank you very much for dropping by and for leaving your comments below.

God bless,

Filipino Overseas: Reaching Out Your Family and Friends in the Philippines Through DTH Satellite TV

Attention all Filipinos working or living abroad, or any citizen with family and friends living in the Philippines. They may get in touch with you wherever you are through satellite TV direct-to-home (DTH). All you need to do now is to prepare your 10-15 minute home-made video and send it to a server via the Internet. The IP address of the server where you can upload your video will be provided to you immediately once the launching of the new DTH business in the Philippines is finally done.

To make sure that your family in the Philippines would be able to see your video, all they need to do is to buy the satellite receiving unit [Satellite Dish + Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD)] for just 4,500 to 5,500 pesos and pay the installation fee which cost them 800 to 1,500 pesos depending on the length of the cable.

Having the DTH satellite receiving unit installed at home, they will also enjoy watching 10 local TV channels and five international TV channels plus some HD channels for FREE - no monthly subscriptions. Initially, that's the number of channels that they can watch plus your video that you can send at least twice a month.

As the time goes by, the number of the TV channels that they can watch will increase up to 48 to 50 TV channels.

So, if you are interested and want to know more about it, please kindly leave your comment below or simply send your inquiries to this e-mail address: judaiz12@yahoo.com.

About your video, you must understand and agree that the company that will bring it up (uplink) to its satellite has ultimate editorial control all over it. The company may edit, remove or exercise its discretion not to broadcast your video for legal, editorial or operational reasons including if the company considers it to be:

a. defamatory, or otherwise unlawful or that it violates laws regarding harassment, discrimination, racial vilification, privacy or contempt; b. intentionally false or misleading; c. an infringement of intellectual property rights including copyright; d. abusive, offensive or obscene; e. inappropriate, off topic, repetitive or vexatious. For example the company reserves the right to reject any video that have been widely distributed in any other media. It also reserves the right to reject any video that the company considers it inappropriate; f. compromising the privacy of any person or containing inappropriate personal information; g. seeking to endorse commercial products or services; h. seeking to directly solicit donations;

If you breach these rules, the company may block your account which allows you for your video upload.

Thank you very much.

God bless,

Looking for Distributors of Direct-to-Home (DTH) Satellite TV Receiving Units in the Philippines

Attention Everyone!

A satellite owner and operator, and telecommunication service provider based in Thailand in partnership with one of the biggest telecommunication providers in the Philippines is looking for distributors for its Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite TV receiving sets in the Philippines. It will launch its DTH satellite TV (DSTV), or simply DTV in the country two to three months from now.

Unlike the existing DTH operator in the country, this company will initially carry eight to 10 local TV channels and five international channels plus some HD channels. In the long run, the number of channels will increase every now and then.

On the positive side, the company will not ask for a monthly subscription from its subscribers. Subscribers in this sense are those who bought its DTV units and install them in their houses. The cost of the DTV equipments is very competitive. At the same price with the existing competitors, you will still manage to have a profit of 30 to 50 %, plus the installation cost (800 to 1,500 pesos) which is separate from the cost of the said DTV equipments or DTV receiving units.

If you are interested, please leave your comment below or send your message of interest to this e-mail address: judaiz12@yahoo.com

Thank you very much.

Thaicom Satellites (Thaicom 7 and Thaicom 8) for Fiji and Nearby Island Countries

Hello Sir,

Thank you very much for your inquiries.

Please see footprints of Thaicom 7 satellite below.

For Thaicom 4 (IPStar 1 - Broadband satellite), please kindly explore the link below for more details of the information for its applications.

http://www.thaicom.net/Publication/Press%20Kit%20Leaflet/English%20Version/product-Eng_edit.pdf

IPStar 1 is a Ku-Band/Ka-Band satellite for broadband applications as you can see details at the above link.

God willing, very soon after Thaicom 7 is launched, Thaicom 8 (IPStar 2) will follow and Fiji would be one of the possible island countries that would be covered with its service spot beams if there's a promising demand there. So, better to explore the details of Thaicom 4 (IPStar 1), so if you find it interesting , then you may recommend IPStar 2 (same as IPStar 1) to your client so the company (Thaicom) may consider putting spot beams in Fiji when it is launched in the near future.

Thaicom 7 satellite is a C-Band satellite which capacity is very useful and fitting for telecommunications and broadcast services in the said island country.

The price of bandwidth per MHz/Month is very cheap, and even much cheaper if you reserve it ahead of its launching.

Should you have more questions, please don't hesitate to leave your message as comment below, or you may send your further inquiry to this e-mail address: judaiz12@yahoo.com.

The Advantages of Securing Your Satellite Capacity Need Ahead of Time

Some of the potential clients have opted to delay their buying of their future satellite capacity needs for the two obvious reasons: One is, they knew for sure that many satellite operators and service providers, such as Thaicom PLC, Singtel, SES, etc., would be launching next year (2013), which dates are spread into different quarters (Q1: SES-6, SES-8, ASTRA 2E; Q2: THAICOM 6, ST-3, Q3 and Q4 for others. Second is, they are expecting that the more satellite launchings, the more capacity would be available and the cheaper the price would become. Though this idea is true, however, I am not so sure whether they all have the full information and the details of each of the satellites to be launched such as, frequency bands: Ku, Ka, C (standard C or Extended C), orbital slot locations, launchers, etc. To avoid any possible surprises, their capacity needs should be matched with the future available and appropriate capacity. So, if the need is a Standard C-Band and the coverage would be in Southeast Asia and Africa, then my advice is to deal with Thaicom PLC for its Thaicom 6 satellite. Making a deal with Thaicom PLC within this year will give its potential clients such benefits as, first priority to securing of the capacity, cheaper, flexible and negotiable price. So, hurry now to secure yours, while available slots are still on pre-sale. Good luck! Satellite Service Adviser

Of course, nudity is NOT also allowed. It should contain a family thing only, or anything worth sharing to your family and friends.

To ensure that every content of your home-made video is all right, we will do the screening before we uplink them to our satellite.

If you like the idea and should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave your comments below, or send your e-mail inquiry to this e-mail address: judaiz12@yahoo.com.

Breakeven Point is About to be Reached for Thaicom 6

God allows, Thaicom PLC would be adding more capacity when Thaicom 6 is launched in the middle of 2013. TV channels carried on its Thaicom 5 satellite platform has reached to 465 from 427 during the first half of 2012.

Due to failures of some satellite launches, the demand for the conventional satellite capacity remains very solid. With around nine months more to go upon launch, its pre-launch sales campaign activities looks very well to meeting its management's goal of 30% pre-launch sales result. Currently, it has achieved 18% (six out 33 transponders) which are officially sold to Grammy, PSI and RS. Sales people are in negotiations with lots of foreign potential clients for Thaicom 6.

Thaicom 7 satellite launching in 2014 is still well on its schedule.

Good luck!

Why Secure Your Future Satellite Capacity Needs With Thaicom PLC?

Satellite operator and service provider's failure to adequately anticipate its need for satellite capacity for its clients and its inability to obtain the same capacity at the right time could harm the results of its overall operations.

Motivated by this fact and reality, and led by its new positive directions headed by its new CEO, Thaicom PLC reveals its long- term plans and its implementations: launching of its Thaicom 6 in the middle of 2013, Thaicom 7 somewhere in 2014 and followed by Thaicom 8 (IPStar 2), thereafter.

Television and radio broadcasting companies, telecommunications providers and ISP's, are now cooperating with Thaicom PLC for their needed satellite capacity in the near future in order to secure it. Guided by their past experiences, they are now taking positive actions ensuring that the future satellite capacity needs are locked and secured. According to their common feedbacks, they don't want to get into the same trouble again which causes them lots of new business opportunities lost.

So, learning from others' past experiences, now the question is, "Have you secured your satellite needs for the next year and beyond?" If you haven't booked yours yet, then it's the best time to do so in order to have a better negotiation advantage. Doing it later, not only that you're not assured of the capacity, but also loss your negotiation advantage due to the many competitions of the remaining scarce capacity which normally leads to a higher price - law of demand and supply principle. The worst case, capacity would be unavailable by the time you need it the most.

Hope this article would help you take the necessary actions while there's still ample time to do so.

Good luck!

Satellite DTH for Free: Buy Only the Satellite Receiving System Units

What if a satellite business company will offer to any household owner all the Free-to-Air TV and Radio channels in a country for free and no monthly payment obligation to the company, but needs only to buy the needed satellite receiving system: a small parabolic antenna dish and a receiver unit which will cost only $100 U.S. or less, depending on the location of the installation: Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Papua New Gunea, etc., do you think, people will be into it? If yes, then it's a nice gift for Christmas to the family from their love ones living abroad.

If, apart from the said Free-to-Air TV and Radio channels, the company will also carry some international channels for free and live coverage of the most entertaining events in the country for different groups of people: boxing, cockfighting, basketball, religious events, locally created interesting contents and etc., do you think it would be a great strategy? To speed up the goal of attaining a least a million homes installed with the satellite system in the first year, do you think a word of mouth strategy if implemented would really be of a great help and better than the normal and expensive advertising method?

If yes, then surely, it's good news for the leaders of the existing and established network in the country, most especially if he/she has his/her own TV/Radio channel, or plan to have one. I am confident, the company has great offer for you!

For those who are not working and would like to earn, then it's your great chance to make a living by installing the system to those household owners who are interested to have one in their houses. The company will provide free training to those interested and qualified ones. Once you pass the system's installation training, then you can start earning by installing the system to anyone's house owner who is interested. If you have an inborn selling talent (or eager to learn to achieve this skill) as well, then it would be an added advantage to earn more and faster. Your earnings in a month depends on how many successful installations you can make in a day. The more you install, the more money you will earn.

So, just wait and check this page again for any updates. When everything is ready, all the detailed information will be posted here again.

Good luck!

THAICOM SATELLITES as Platform FOR BSkyB's pay TV for Wider Distribution of Legacy London's Contents

I just sent e-mail to Mr. Robert Fraser, Director of external communications of BSkyB's Pay TV telling him about an article I have read from this link: http://www.digitaltveurope.net/27280/olympics-fuel-new-uk-sports-channel/ talking about Legacy London, a 24-hour channel, which will begin airing its contents on BSkyB’s pay TV platform in November and is looking for wider distribution.

I also asked him whether any member of his team has a plan to visit the IBC 2012 exhibition at RAI Amsterdam in September 7-11, 2012 whom my team could meet and discuss with how we could possibly help his company realize Legacy London's goal of wider distribution of its contents.

I sent Thaicom satellites' footprints below for him to examine whether it's helpful for BSkyB's Pay TV business.

I just hope that he would convey my message to Mr. Nicholas Ferguson, Chairman and Jeremy Darroch, CEO of the said company.

God permits, meeting with these people happens, then it's a great step forward to realizing Thaicom's goal for UK and Europe.

THAICOM PLC PRE-LAUNCHED SALES ON ITS THAICOM 5, THAICOM 6 and THAICOM 7 SATELLITES CAPACITY

With so many satellite launchings that are soon to happen at almost the same time, satellite service operators are so busy doing its pre-launched sales activities. Thaicom PLC on its part had already sold out about 20% of its capacity on its soon-to-be launched Thaicom 6 which will be co-located with its Thaicom 5 at 78.5° East. It has still about a year to go to completely sell out its remaining future capacity – about 80%.

Initial success on its pre-launched sales campaign is the positive result of its Blue Ocean strategy which isolates it from the traditional Bloody Ocean competitions. God allows, when everything works according to plans Thaicom would be come one of the most sought-after satellite service operators in Asia.

What makes telecom operators and broadcasters chose Thaicom to lay their investments ahead of time, is the very thing that you should find out below. Some investors argued that it’s better to wait at the time the satellite is already available. For them, this is the most practical way to secure their investments. Though, this is partly true, but availability of the capacity during that time you need it could not be guaranteed. However, when you pay for it in advance, then surely you’ll have it immediately by the time it’s available. Other advantage of having it secured in advance is the lower price compared to when you take it by the time the satellite has already been launched. During the pre-launched sale period, the closer the date of the satellite launch, the higher the price would become. So, why wait for so long if you really have the real need of the satellite capacity next year (2013) for Thaicom 5 and Thaicom 6 satellites, or Thaicom 7 satellite in 2014?

Others had asked, “What if satellite launched fails?” Well, that’s where our Blue Ocean strategy works. One thing for sure, your investments (three to six months advanced deposit), which will be off set supposedly against the first three months or first six months of our service will be fully returned to you, just in case we are in the worse scenario. This is already fair enough, but our Blue Ocean strategy could do more than this and that will depend on our negotiations.

Think about putting your investment somewhere else, and one year later, would it really surely earns you some amount of money? If yes, then would it be enough to pay the more expensive cost of the capacity by then?

Now, it’s your choice. But hope this would convince you to choose Thaicom to lay your investment down ahead of time to secure your needed capacity in 2013, or 2014.

Thank you very much.

Dear Valued Future Business Partners.

Many are now inquiring us about our Pre-Launched Sale price for our satellite bandwidths which would be available about the middle next year (2013) for our Thaicom 5 and Thaicom 6 satellites, and in 2014, for our Thaicom 7 satellite. Some of these inquiries are really serious, but we are also aware that some are bogus.

However, what I have at the moment is the pre-launched sale price which is valid only until October 31, 2012. After that period, surely the price will change. The nearer the date the capacity will be available, the higher the price would become. And we need 6-month advanced deposit which will be offset during the first six months of service. The same amount will be returned to you if satellite launch fails. All these things will be indicated in the agreement. So, nothing should be worried about. It's a win-win approach: On your side/your client side, it secures the capacity and the best price. On our side, with God’s blessings, it makes sure things work according to our plan.

So, hurry now and secure your satellite capacity needs for the next year and beyond!

Just kindly leave your comment below, or send your inquiry to this e-mail address: handeilm@thaicom.net.

Please see the above footprints for details on our satellite coverage.

Thanks a lot.

Thaicom 5 coverage Map and some Important Details

Thaicom 5 C-Band Satellite Capacity

Dear Friends, As you might have already known, Thaicom would be launching its Thaicom 6 satellite by the middle of 2013 on the same slot as Thaicom 5 at 78.5ºE. With this, and with God’s permission everything works according to plan, then Thaicom 5 would be freed of some of its existing traffic which would be transferred to Thaicom 6. There would be about 4 to 5 C-Band transponders (mixed of global and regional beams) that would be available by then. Since, this capacity is not much, and some of it had already been reserved officially, then chances are that this would just disappear soon even before you know it – surely before the end of this year. Those clients who really are clear of their vision for their business had already secured their needed capacity at least 6 months to one year earlier before utilizing it. So, if your planned business next year really needs satellite capacity, then it’s the best time to secure it. Please, hurry now to secure yours while there are still at least 2 transponders left that are still available as of today. If your requirement is C-Band and is for Europe, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, Singapore, Brunei and Australia, then please send your inquiry to this e-mail address: handeilm@thaicom.net specifying which of the above locations you want to reach and from which country are you from. Thank you very much. Best Regards, Satellite Service Adviser

Hi Everyone, Greetings from THAILAND! Thaicom PLC will be having lots of C-Band satellite capacity on it existing Thaicom 5 satellite once Thaicom 6 is launched in the middle of 2013.
